My car thermometer read a balmy -22 degrees this morning! I right away want COMFORT FOOD! I declared tonight, "recipe night"! Recently while on a corner cleaning purge, I came across and old cookbook that I had received as an award for some 4-H activity. It is fun to sit and read through the recipes. The cookbook has a copyright date of 1959! Which, happens to be the year I was bor. Tonight we are having Creole Chicken and Rice. I made a few changes in this recipe including using chicken breasts as I don't usually have a 6 lb "fowl" on hand! It was delicious and was a great comfort food! Enjoy and stay warm!
